Ox-Eye Daisy Eradication Effort at Leek Springs Meadow - DAY 2
Join CNPS and ARC on Saturday August 8th!
We need YOUR help! Although charming at first site, this invasive daisy is threatening the abundance and integrity of the Leek Springs Meadow Ecological Reserve. Join CNPS and ARC as we battle this invasive weed by pulling it out by the root and popping of the flowers before the plant can make seeds. Camaraderie and a feeling of accomplishment are the big rewards, but lunch and cookies will also be provided to all registered participants.
To attend, please sign up through the link below and acknowledge the waiver.
Wear close toed shoes, and comfortable/protective clothing. Sun protection is also a good idea at this elevation. You might throw in a rain jacket as well.
Bring work gloves, water, and if you have a favorite weeding tool, such as a screw driver or hori hori, feel free to bring that too.
We will meet at the Ray Lawyer Drive/Forni Park and Ride at 8am to carpool/caravan to the site. Expect to be back to the park and ride by 2pm.
Thank you!!!
