Description

Sunday, March 30th 2-5pm

Come join us as we venture into the world of baking with Sourdough and learn to harness its gut-healthy benefits at home! Getting started with sourdough can be overwhelming - especially with the sheer volume of information available, particularly online - and it can be difficult to decide how to begin: "How exactly do I make a Sourdough Starter - and keep it alive? Is there a Sourdough Bread I can make in just one day, or does it have to take 2-3 days every time? Is there anything I can make with all my Sourdough Discard? Can you make anything else with Sourdough Starter besides bread?" Join us as homestead farmer & owner of Anvil Acre Farm, Anne Morton, answers all these questions and many more! Through her extensive research, experimentation, and a passion for sharing all things 'made from scratch,' Anne will help us navigate and simplify the vast universe of baking with Sourdough and empower us to recreate this amazing gut-healthy product at home! Class will include tastings of several Sourdough bakes, some prepared beforehand at Anvil Acre Farm, and the ones made during this class. Class also includes handouts for each student with the recipes and information covered in the class. Ages 15+ welcome. Meeting location Gold Hill/Placerville. Cost: $60/members, $70/non-members. A detailed email will be sent once you register online at REGISTRATION LINK
